Aaron S. Evenchik Elected to the Board of Directors for ACE Mentor Program of Cleveland

Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP is pleased to announce that partner Aaron S. Evenchik has been elected to the Board of Directors for the ACE Mentor Program of Cleveland. Evenchik’s three-year term as Co-chair of the Nominating Committee begins on July 1.

Founded in 1994, the ACE Mentor Program is a free, award-winning, afterschool program that encourages historically disadvantaged high school students to pursue careers in architecture, construction and engineering (or any college major), including skilled trades.  ACE Cleveland is part of ACE Mentor Program of America, which has more than 70 chapters and operates in 37 states.

“ACE is a gem in the greater Cleveland community,” said Evenchik. “As a supporter, I am proud to be part of this outstanding organization that provides an abundance of opportunities to high school students with a passion for building and designing.”

At Hahn Loeser, Evenchik focuses his practice on construction and real estate law, where he represents construction clients in both transactional and litigation matters. Outside of his practice, he publishes articles and presents seminars on construction, contract terms and conditions, liens and bond claims, real estate development and zoning, and other construction and legal topics in Ohio and nationally.  Before receiving his law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Evenchik received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Ohio State. Evenchik is an active member of numerous community and construction trade associations.

The ACE Mentor Program is driven by the committed and enthusiastic participation of volunteer mentors who are practicing professionals. Over 10,000 students from 1,100 high schools across the country participate annually. The majority (69%) are minority, and one-third of students are female.  More than 70 percent of ACE seniors enter a skilled trades program or college with an industry-related major.
